Stampin Up Convention 2011 Pictures link is on Flickr

I am still adding to the collection of images. Convention July 2011. I will keep adding to it. Anyone else that went and has their photos on Flickr, let me know. We can create a group for our pictures.

Headquarters, samples, things received, etc.  Just a few pictured below for a little sampling of the huge number of sample art displayed.

Stampin Up Convention 2011 - Cards and Bags I made to swap

Christmas Card for Swap in Stampin Up Convention 2011
Items Used to Create the Christmas Card:
Stamp Set - Snow Swirled (wood set of 6) #111690 $24.95
Paper: Cherry Cobbler and Wisper White.
Inks: Real red and Old olive
Embossing - Silver
Texture - Square Lattice  #119976 $7.95
One pearl and scraps used for presents and ribbon look.
Punch: Eyelet Border 119853 $15.95

instructions:
Size of card is half a sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 paper folded in half.
For lattice texture, folded paper in half long wise and cut then ran thru Big Shot with texture on one end of paper and then placed it on the other end and ran it thru a second time.
You can make exact measurements, I spaced them as I liked it and then worked around that using the bottom eyelet first.

1. You can fit 6 trees on one sheet of old olive paper. Stamp, poor silver emboss poweder over wet ink, tap off excess and heat to set, cut out the square leaving room around the tree.

2. Cut stripes of white paper wide enough to use eyelet lace punch and still have room to stamp seasons greetings on it. (about 8 out of one page) Punch one edge of each strip (do not cut to size yet).

3. Cut white paper in half and use Square Lattice Texture plate on one end and run it through the Big Shot, then place the plate on the other half of the paper and run it through a second time. (do not cut to size for your card yet.)

4. Cut the old olive paper with the christmas tree to make a nice square with space around the tree and bottom for presents. Now you can determine I size for the white lattice texture square to show underneath the gren paper - Cut it to size.

5. Now you can lay the white lattice paper on the red card and place a scallop edge underneath to get a length to cut it so it aligns evenly, cut 2 for the card.

6. Stamp in Real Red ink (brighter than cherry cobbler ink- it popped more) "Seasons Greetings" for the bottom strip. Use tape to glue that bottom strip down first.

7. Align the white texture paper with the scallop and place the top one in its place. Now you can use tape to glue the textured scare and top scallop edge.

8. Tape the green card on and then start building your presents from scrap pieces of textured paper and scraps for the ribbon look on the package or add a pearl or rhinestone.

Stampin Up Senior Demonstrator - Blue Springs, Missouri 64015 About Brenda Green

B Green Stamping - I like to use my first initial and last name because it seems to represent being "green" and environmentally aware and making efforts to preserve our environment. I have other blogs that are specific to an industry that use Stampin Up products, but I wanted one blog just for myself and to share with other people that love to stamp, scrapbook, create gifts and enjoy the hobby passionately as I do. It was hard to to pick a title with butterfly in it - love those just as much. What got me started in Stampin Up? I just finished my college degree and I had time for a hobby again. I contacted Angie Green at some point in time, so I was getting her emails about workshops. I attend one with total strangers near Halloween (one of my favorite holidays). I started up as a demonstrator right after that one workshop.

ME - Brenda Green

My kids Erica and Ryan at day camp when they were younger. They are 14 and 16 years old now (2011). We all share our home with my boyfriend John and enjoy a backyard full of flowers, trees and a garden. I even work out on my back patio on nice days.

Little Biscuit - my baby

I keep very busy and that I love to do. I do stop and flop here and there too! Some days I really do stay away from  the Internet and just create things all day long. I made a memory scrapbook about my dad for my mom one time and I did it in one day. It is a true treasure, the most precious gift and a keepsake for myself down the road. I live in Blue Springs, Missouri and I graduated with a BA in paralegal studies from Everest University. 4 cats in the household, my baby is Biscuit.

I am a contributor on pInterest and love to add images like other people do. Check out the site - it is spectacular and inspirational! http://pinterest.com/  It can be a load on your computer, so clear your cache and Internet browsing history so it doesn't bogg down too much.

I have an Etsy store called bridalandbabyfavors (I have a lot more to add here soon) http://etsy.com/
I list on the recycled bride and will expand on that one too. http://recycledbride.com/
I am a wedding vendor on pwg.com for Kansas City area and Wedding Wire and Wed Alert and The Knott.

Bridal Letter is my wedding favor business http://bridalletter.com/ and on here http://bridalletter.blogspot.com/ and a blog on the website too http://bridalblog.bridalletter.com/ The wedding industry is a tremendous place to share what you can do and gives that WOW factor to the bride, groom and their guests.

My Baby Shower Shops for baby shower things, games and gifts or decor http://mybabyshowershop.com/ and on here http://mybabyshowershop.blogspot.com/ Love babies of course and we have so many adorable stamps, it is endless creations in this field too.

My goal is to work full time on Stampin up stuff as soon as I possibly can. I feel I can do it!

I am attending my first Stampin Up (c) convention in July 2011 in Salt Lake City Utah. So right now I am working on making my "swaps" to share with fellow demonstrators when I get there. This is truly the most exciting trip I think I will get to experience - I can hardly wait. I hope to learn new techniques and see new products to share with the world.

I am a professional blogger too. I have attended Social Media Summit 2011 and Blogging Summit 2011 by White Paper Source to further improve my knowledge and experience with the social media world. I am on Linkedin, Facebook, and Twitter. I would like to get into others, but I don't think there is time.

I have a Page Bridal Letter and Sales By The Yard which you can locate by those names. Sales by the yard is for my garage sale classified ad business http://mygarageandyardsales.com/ and listing homes for sale on http://myopenhouselistings.com/

I follow other stampers on blogger.com that have so much creativity and imagination and artistic talent, I hope you all will find my journey to be useful to yourselves and business too and to anyone one that just does stamping or scrapbooking as a hobby. It is a wonderful way to spend time either by oneself or with a group of friends. It truly brings out the stories and giggles and new things learned. I do appreciate and buy tutorials and of course love the free tutorials too. I am working hard to get into doing videos - I know they help me a great deal and it is good for anyone to see something visually - especially in the virtual world here.

All work on here is copyright protected by myself, my companies, StampinUp and any lines like Buildabear. You may use ideas for your own creativity, but please do not duplicate my works to resell. You may use it for personal, alter it to suit and make your own and in workshops as that is part of our growing our businesses and sharing ideas freely.
